1983 mazda b2000 truck is not running right, any suggestions?
My friend's 1983 b2000 truck is not running right,It runs half way decent when first started, but after it runs awhile and you hit the gas to idle it down, it will not stay running, it just sputter and dies. it is not back firing tho. He has checked the vacuum lines, replace the fuel pump, and fuel filter. Can someone give me ideas of what may be wrong? Maybe a check list? Thanks-Lee
Idle circuit in the carburetor may be plugged. Idle speed adjustment may be off. Ai/fuel ratio may be out of whack. Ignition coil may be weak. Vacuum leak is still possible at lines or carb base or intake gasket. Ignition timing could be off. And so on and so on and so on and so on...........................
