What percentages of ethanol are Sunoco's various grades of gasoline(87, 89, 91, and 93 octane)?
I have contacted Sunoco via email and phone and not gotten a straight forward answer. All they will say is that the gasoline "may contain up to 10% ethanol", which essentially tells me nothing. That means it could contain 0%, 1%, 2% ethanol etc. Are there any Sunoco owners/employees out there who know the answer? I know ethanol is added to increase the octane rating. So the real question is what percent ethanol is added to make each grade? In other words, what % ethanol is 87 octane gasoline? What % ethanol is 89 octane gasoline? What % ethanol is 91 octane gasoline? What % ethanol is 93 octane gasoline? I'd like to begin using ethanol/Sunoco gasoline in my car because of the environmental and economic benefits but I'd like to know how much I am using.
