I have been searching and searching, and all I get is a general "LED's are used". But what type? Obviously some will be brighter than others during the daytime, and I would like to know which they use so I can try and emulate on my car.

I know that Andre Georgi designed the actual lights for the car, but I am pretty sure they are manufactured by Audi, or at least a division within Audi (Head of Lighting Technology and Electronics), in Ingolstadt Germany.
You do not necessarily have to get LEDs manufactured by the same people that supply Audi, you just have to make sure you use the correct wattage for your model...A bunch of Audi aftermarket sites have them for sale
