2004 Volvo S40 How do you get the window regulator out of the door?
My driver's side window is stuck at half way up and I am trying to change out the window regulator that is snuggly in the door. I took out all the screws and bolts and I can't figure out how to get the regulator out to switch it for a new one. HELP PLEASE!!
No offense to your abilities, but if you are not familiar with doing this then you need to leave the job to someone who does know how. I am not sure how this mechanism functions in this particular vehicle but in some cars this is spring loaded to counter balance the weight of the window. If the mechanism is disassembled improperly the spring can release with enough force to cut off hands and fingers. Saving a little money is not worth that.
