What causes a clear light bulb to turn white inside?
I put in a brand new clear bulb in my ceiling fan. And as soon as i turned the light on, the bulb just goes out and turns white. There was no popping sound. It was silent.
A crack or hole in the glass allowed air to get into the bulb. When the filament was turned on, it burned up, the smoke coated the inside of the bulb. It's happened to me a few times.
