what is the difference b/n normal LED and IR LED.,PHYSICALLY and how can we test them wheteher working or not?
Normal LEDs and IR LEDs are the same in shape, size and connections, but IR LEDs are clear, while the others are of the appropriate colour. You can test them by applying a test current of about 15 mA, which should flow in one direction but not the other. Obviously the normal LEDs can be made to glow visibly. For the IR LEDs one needs to build an IR detector.
