HID conversion question. 2007 vw rabbit?
ok so i wanna get HIDs but here is the problem. in my car the high beam & low beam are 2 separate lights & i like that because i just wanna swap my high beams for 35watt 3000k
that way i can roll with stock low beams & switch to hid on command...
i have a crap-load of people around here rolling on blue HIDs 6000k-12000k & the cops dont mess with them but i hear (online not too much here) that cops love to mess with people riding on 3000k yellows
both high & low beam are H7 but is the wattage the same ? & can the ballasts carry the higher load of the high beams - converting it to 35watt
You can put hids in your high beams. I would recommend putting in your low beams unless you drive around in your high beams all day anyway. If you are going with a 3000k then your lights will be yellow. The cars that come factory are rolling around with a 4300k - 6000k. If you want to have a legal kit put in get some projectors so it dulls the glare for oncoming traffic.. if not plug them into your regular housing. Keep in mind if you do that you will need adapters for the new hids. When it comes to xenon conversions cheaper is not always better.
