How much would it cost to do a full clutch job in 1990 mazda miata?
I'm just curious and want to know for future reference for car maintenence and repairs. I have a 1990 Mazda Miata with a 1.6L 4 cylinder engine with multipoint elec. fuel injection system. It is a RWD. My question is, how much would it cost me in labor and parts if i get my whole clutch components replaced and maintained at the dealer? From what i know of, the job includes replacing of clutch, pressure plate, bearings, transmission oil, seals, and gaskets. is there anything i missed?
Additionally, I live in southern california area and goto the browning mazda dealer in cerritos by the mall and 605 freeway.
Can anyone give me an estimated cost and how much time it takes labor wise?

Four hours labor and I don't know how much for stock parts. Miata Mania should be able to help on that.
I bought my replacement set up off e-bay, including a light weight fly wheel for about 300 dollars.
I could not find a level place to do mine so I let an independent shop do it for 35 dollars an hour. It took them six hours. But they only charged for the 4 hours from the flat rate manual. Make sure you find a shop that will stay with the flat rate book, not "What ever it takes"!
At the dealers it could easily be 800 dollars, but at an independent shop maybe 500 dollars.
Plan on having the rear seal done (neither of my 90's need them yet at 140k miles). But I did the fronts at 120k miles (the water pump too).
Let me suggest that the best place to have the job done is not always at the dealers. Ask around and find out where the other Miata owners are going. There most likely a better deal else where.
