2004 chevy s10 passenger rear turn signal and brake light does not work.?
I hooked a chain to my reese hitch to pull something and It pinched the green (I'm guessing the ground) on the trailor light hook up pig tail sticking out the back of my truck. the right turn signal, and brake light does not work now. The running lights work when headlights come on. The drivers side works fine and both front signals work fine. I have replaced the rear tail light bulbs with 3057 bulbs. fixed the trailor light wires and checked all fuses, and followed the wires. Everything looks fine! No broken wires. ANY help!?
I'd get a voltmeter and a pin-out for the pigtail. Then use the meter to measure the voltage at each pin to determine if the problem is in the truck or in the trailer. Assuming the problem is in the trailer you can then check each light to see that it is receiving current when it should be. If not, you need to track down the break on the wire. If the current is reaching the lamps then you'll need to see what is wrong with the sockets.
