How can i make a circit with leds, when my circuit is off the led will be Red and when its on it will be Green?
I am trying to make a circuit. 12V dc. with really small LED i will say 1/2 watt. I need the led to light up green when the generator is turned on and when the generator is turned off it should light up red. How can this Circuit be made. This is something similar to what we see on computer monitors. When your computer is on the led lights up green. when computer is off the led lights up red.
how do you plan on powering the red LED ? You will need a battery and a 12 volt relay with a NC connection, or a transistor circuit. The 12 volts keeps the relay energized. when it is removed, the NC contact is made and that can connect the red LED to the battery.
Computer monitors with a red LED are not really off, there is still some power present to light the LED.
