Chameleon opening mouth?
I noticed that my chameleon while under the basking lamp is gaping. But i was wondering is it dangerous for him to be gaping he opens his mouth every 15 minutes for about 10 seconds at the basking spot and should i switch to a lower wattage bulb?
Ive got a pretty big cage for him its a 68 gallon flexarium and the temperatures on the basking spot is usually 30 degrees and ambient temperature around 24 degrees

well wat kind of cam...?? well if its opening its mouth that means its hot up there.. so make sure to check the temperature with a digital thermometer. also its not the wattage its the distance of the wattage from the cage that matter so yes if its too hot change it. if you dont want to change it put it away from the tank to you get the temp that the chameleon needs.
