where is the orifice tube located on a 1997 ford taurus?
Locate your A/C coolant line. The line will be aluminum. Follow the line from the cooler on the drivers side. There will be a point in the line that is aprox 4" long and slightly larger in diameter. This will be where the tube is located. On the Ford Taurus it will be right above the drivers side tire. You will need a special tool to open the line. Also note you must vac down the line before ever attempting.
