is there an extremely cheap way to Patch up an exhaust manifold and front pipe?
I was told that my exhaust manifold and front pipe have a crack in them (hence the Corvette sounding noise coming from a Geo Prisim) Considering I bought the piece of junk for very little that I could afford I refuse to pay to replace the whole thing. Is there a way I cant cheaply patch them up myself?
I would have them welded while still mounted, the heat could warp them and make it almost impossible to remount. If there is clearance, a mig welder in the hands of a good welder works miracles. But then again I would call a junk yard get the price of another manifold and compare that to what they want for the welding. Welding will break again eventually and if the new used one is cheaper it doesn't take a genius to decide which way to go. As far as muffler patch of the manifold, a waste of time.
