I need a driver for a Connect3D USB 2GB PocketDrive (4007) for Windows 98SE?
Package says drivers downloadable @ www.connect3d.com/support, but this gives "Forbidden" error. There is a menu selection for drivers @ http://www.connect3d-us.com/, but nothing happens when I click on it. The UK site @ http://www.connect3d.com/support/default.htm has three "Driver Downloads for Connect3D USB Flash". I've tried all 3, but my computer does not recognize any as suitable for my device.
When I plug it in an XP computer, my USB memory stick is recognized as a Samsung "Mighty Drive". I downloaded a file "SMD_USB20_98SE.zip" and tried the pusb2061.inf driver, but that did not work either.
Connect3D provides online support only with product registration, but their registration works off of drop-down menus which do not include any USB drives, so I have not been able to contact the manufacturer.
I don't have Internet Explorer (only Firefox & Netscape), so I can't use Microsoft's driver sites.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
You need to update your operating system. You can order a CD or download one at htttp://www.ubuntu.com. It's free and you will get all the sofware that you will ever need FREE!!!
If you have 256MB of RAM download a full version, if less download XUBUNTU.
