I have a 94 mazda mx3 and unfortuanetly its auto and sometimes i like shifting it manually because it has a hold button htat keeps it in one gear at a time. So is it bad to shift it?
No, its not bad.. though it is bad to over-rev it. If you have a lot of miles on it, you might want to be careful; the ATF heats up really fast when you manually shift it and it could cause the car to 'cook' the ATF and eventually cause slipping.
