What color low beam light comes in my 2000 Acura 3.2 TL?
My front side passenger Low Beam light is out. I went to the dealer ship and was told it is definately the bulb and not the invertor or the ignighter. I know the p/n for the bulb is D2R, but they are sold me many colors. I'm not sure if I am supposed to get Diamond White or Light Blue. I looked at my drivers side light and it looks sort of light blueish white. I need to know what color originally comes with the car so I buy the correct one to match what I already have. - thanks
Factory fitted D2R bulbs are 4300K - white with a slight yellow tint.
It sounds like yours are 6000K - white with a blue tint.
Note that bulbs from different manufacturers will look different, even for the same colour temperature rating. HID bulbs also change colour with use, so even a direct replacement may look slightly different.
If you can live with that, check the existing bulb - it will often say on the base. If not, and especially if the bulbs are more than a couple of year old, get a replacement pair.
