Low band crystal with Hi band recevier Futaba?
I am unfamiliar with crystals in receivers. I just purchased a futaba R127DF 7 Channel receiver (or something like that). On the side, it states "Hi Band" and it is Dual Conversion. I originally had two channel 11 crystals which were not dual conversion. When used, this tx/rx set up didn't work. Then, with the same crystal in tx, I put a dual conversion channel 11 crystal in Rx. This did work. Since Channel 11 is lo band, is this a safe set up? I do have one channel 50 (a hi band channel) crystal and would purchase another one for tx if that would be a better set up. Any ideas? Thanks.
This is a 72mhz receiver for air use
depends on what you are running car boat ground use?? or a plane or helli 11-60 at 72 MHZ are for aircraft , and ground is 61-90 at 75 MHZ high -low or the way I typed it low-high cool??. So for a plane your fine that's a common receiver that you can use either way just flip the switch
