My 2006 Mazda RX8 won't recognize that the key is in it?
I have an 06 Mazda RX-8, I went in it today to start it and I keep getting the "KEY" light on the dash, I have a keyless entry and the sensor is working, I can turn the alarm on, lock/unlock door and trunk put can not to the ingition on. Even with the actual key in the ignition it still will not let me turn it on. What can I do?
I believe there is a procedure listed in the owners manual to re-aquiant the key fob w/ the vehicle. Other than that check to make sure the battery is ok, or call the dealership if you are still under 50K miles.
