Can radiators be mounted horizontally?
i have limited space in front of a 99 chevy 454 and and thinking about mounting a radiator horizontally above the motor and putting a hood scoop to allow air in. also i would mount an electric fan setup on the radiator. are there any problems with coolant flow by doing this? would there be any other considerations asside from how to fill it?
yes it can be done see the baja off road trucks they mount them on the roll bar in back as long as you can get air to flow ...as for the filling just use a little cluch resevior on the cowling as long as it is higher the the radiator it'll work..
