There are 2 hoses hanging from the carburetor of my 86honda rebel 250. Can someone tell me where they connect?
I notice this after going for a ride and the bike kept stalling out and sputtering when in first gear. I thought I was running out of gas but when I checked the tank it was full. Upon closer inspection I noticed a 5 inch hose hanging straight down from the carburetor. There looks to be a small amout of lubircant at the end which is not connected. The second hose which was pulled by my husband when trying to figure out where the first hose possibly connected. The second hose runs behind the air filter and is now dangling under the bike peaking out under the frame, it is still connected to the carburetor at the top and also has the same lubericant at the loose end.
I do have the manual but it doesn't show where these two hoses connect. And I don't want to take it to the shop as it is an expense I can afford right now. I hoping this is an easy fix I can do my self. So if you can please help me out with some information it would be greatly apprecitate.

check on top of the crankcase for a port that is where the hose that is on top of the carb goes for the ventillation of the crankcase to burn off the oil vapor it is mainky foe emmisions. having it disconnected will cause a vacuum lose and cause rough idle. it sounds like the hose has simply broken in two get a small piece of tube metal aor plastic and hook them back together
