How to mount PC CPU Fan and how to check case fan?
Help, I want to know how to mount the CPU fan, and what should be the direction of flow. I have Acer Aspire T 660 desktop.
My next question is my Pc case fan , spin for few seconds at the time of power on and stops. How to check this Fan and when to replace.
well it depends on how it comes off most fans r just screwed onto the cpu heat sink with 4 screws,some may be held on with clips or something else,but i would say yours is held on with screws,just unplug the wire going to the motherboard for the cpu fan and then unscrew the 4 screws holding the cpu fan on,to put back just mount the fan,hold it in place and screw the screws back in.as far as the case fan if it starts up then stops it's more and likely going bad,they r pretty cheap and i would just replace it.most of those case fans r measured in millimeters(mm) so i would take the case fan out measure it in inches and then use a free program to convert inches to millimeters.most of the cpu fans blows air towards the heat sink and cpu.need more help email me.
