motorcycle low sided, black smoke coming out?
my brother low sided his 03 cbr f4i today at the canyons , doesnt seem like it was a bad crash mostly cosmetic but as he turned it on, a buncha black smoke came out the exhaust the whole time and doesnt seem to stop.....what could be the problem???dirt on the intake?? thanks
Sometimes a lowside can cause a bunch of oil to get sucked up into the crankcase breather tube. This tube is vented to the airbox, so the oil gets sucked through the intake and burned, then exhausts as really black stinky smoke.
Smell the exhaust, if it stinks, it's oil, if it doesn't smell very bad, it's fuel.
