problems connecting a toshiba laptop to a belkin router?
my dad has a toshiba satellite l350d laptop and a belkin F5D7230 g router. i have a laptop as well, and we have 2pcs. the pcs and my laptop all connect fine, both wirelessly and through an ethernet cable. my dads laptop however, takes ages to connect and then says "connected with limited access, therefor it wont let you go on the net.
can anyone offer help and advice? he wont stop messing with the router and im sure its not that because i would be having problems with my laptop if that were the case. help!
On your Dads laptop, go to run and type in ''cmd'' (without quotes so it'll appear like this;
cmd
then a black box appears (Dos) type in: ipconfig /release
then when it's done type in ipconfig /renew
see if he still gets the connection error. he may be ok after this.
