what is the procedure for installing an aftermarket oil pressure gauge on a 2006 chevrolet malibu?
do i have to remove any other parts to get to the oil pressure sending unit? and do i have to splice into the original sending units wiring? will it effect my computer programing? will it affect the vehicles performance? the gauge is electronic. thanks ahead for the info.
you CAN NOT remove the oil sending unit on the 06 malibu the processor uses it as a reference for the fuel pump emergency shut off there is a boss plug on the lower section of the block above the oil filter that is designed for oil pressure gages plugs just remove the boss plug screw in the fitting and run the hoses
