My 97 miata window has a hard time going down.?
I dont have power windows, just the good old manual ones. When i roll down the windows, it has a hard time going down. Its rough like its stuck. I have to put some strength into rolling down the windows. The passenger side is fine. It rolls down smoothly but the driver side is the problem one.
Any thoughts on how I could fix that?
Greasing the window tracks will not help. I need to get mine fixed too by the way. If you look at the link you will see that it is cable controlled. The cables are prelubed at the factory and enter a cable housing. Inside of the crank end there is a while that takes up and feeds the cable out to raise and lower the window. The problem I think is where the crank goes into this housing. On mine (when the weather clears) I am planning on pulling the handles and squirting some WD 40 into that area. I am hoping that will fix mine.
