I own a '85 Buick Lesabre and I purchased a Pilot H4/9003 headlight conversion kit with 100/90 watt bulbs.
When I hooked up my 100/90 watt bulbs (while they were installed in the new 4x6 headlight housings) for a practice run for some reason my factory bright lights came on by themselves. How could this be happening? My whole electrical system is stock also.
Too much amp draw alternator won't be able to sustaine an extra 20 amps and run a/c stereio. And you will melt the headlight housings not to mention the realys smoking and headlight wiring melting. Go back to stock 55/85 or what the car came with. Tried the same thing on a Pontiac Grand Prix head lamps cracked inside the lenses because of the heat.
