Seat belt retracks but cannot loosen for passenger side.. what do i do to fix this?
ok everything is normal for the seat belt, you can slide it out and hook it but once its on u cant pull it anymore.. that means if ur sitting there normal and try to reach for the radio or just lean up a bit.. u cant.. it wont even loosen like it should.. the driver side is fine, but the passenger side is like its being restrained.. only way to get it loosened is to take it off and re put it back on but thats too much to go through.. what can i do to fix this problem i have for my passengers and myself at times
The seat belts are made this way on the passenger side of vehicles. Don't know why but my truck is the same way. If it's the shoulder harness part then this should move freely, if not take of the panel on your b pillar and see if the mechanism is dry or not. May need a little oil. The front trim part by windshield is a pillar just behind the front door is the b pillar if you have a four door the c pillar is behind the rear door and the very back of the vehicle is the d pillar trim panel's. On a 2 door the rear trim is still the c pillar.
