Would it be possible to change the color of chrome paint?
is there any kind of paint where i could take a normal chrome part, and paint over it to make it that color chrome?
ie regular chrome -> red chrome
how would i prepare the surface?
"Candy" type colors....if the parts is metal, powdercoating works GREAT, any GOOD & REPUTABLE powdercoater will have tons of colors to choose from. Candy colors are translucent, "clear colors" that are sprayed over a metallic basecoat and then clear coated.
I have had many chrome parts candy powdercoated and the effect is awesome. Unless you are a VERY good painter with spray cans, sparay type candy's are very poor, you can get almost any color you want from....
