Where can I buy a spare tire for my 2006 mazda rx8?
I have a 2006 mazda rx8 with 18" rims. I got a flat tire recently and it was very annoying not having a spare so I would like to get one. I would get a donut or just a rim. I have an extra tire that I could use but i cant seem to find just a plain steel rim for 225/40zr18 tires under 100 bucks. Or any donuts that are 18". Ive seen 17" ones. Help
The RX8 does not come with a spare tire, but with an emergency tire repair/inflator kit. There is a spare tire kit available from Mazda dealership, though. It is an emergency donut and brackets/hardware to install it in the trunk. Most people do not use it as it takes up most of the RX8's trunk. If you bought your car used and it didn't come with the repair kit that is available from Mazda as well.
You could use a 17" wheel for a spare. That size wheel will fit over the brakes, but no smaller.
