How to assemble struts for 2000 Mazda 626?
I disassemled front and rear 2000 Mazda 626 struts and didn't mark on them , so i could not put them back in places. And at the same time I would like to know why my car pulls the the left ?
WOW. Hopefully you used a strut spring compressor. If not, where do you live, I want to rub your head or belly for luck. If you didn't use the compressor, you're kinda luckky to be alive. Unless the coil springs have weakened or been compressed by overstress.
In order to reassemble them, you need to compress the coil springs enough that the threaded portion of the strut rod goes through the upper pivot cap assembly.
Look closely. There will be a big L and R stamped into the bottm portion of the strut. Not to mention they will not go in properly if you have them on the wrong side of the vehicle.
Car pulling is one of a few things, or a combination:
1:)Alignment. Camber to far negative on the left or positive on the right, or both.
2:) Left tire low on air pressure.
3:) Brake on left side dragging.
4:) Bearing on left side hung up.
