Subwoofer and Amp Question for 2004 f150 6 disc factory head unit!?
I am going to install a 10 inch subwoofer and amp in my 04 f150 and I am running the facory head unit and was curious if I could tap into a wire on the factory harness to tap the remote wire? I am guessing this wire needs to be connected to 12v source to the amp? Also can i tap into the wire I use for my remote more than oncse, is this enough power? PLease give me advise or links to get advise! I want to do my own set up am new and looking for help!
if you are just looking for a remote turn on wire for your amp, why dont you just put it on a switch and relay from your fuse box.. tap into and fuse that has power when you truck is on and run that to a relay, then to your amp. that way you can turn on the amp when ever you want
