but it says for 97-98. I really dont see no difference between these 97-98 model tail lights and the 99-01 model tail lights? The reason I want these exact ones is because the ones that actaully say for the 01 models are more expensive and i have a tight budget. Look carefully at the middle of each taillight. Do you see how the 97-98 version is perfectly straight and the 99-01 one has a slight angle in the lens (look at the left edges of both to see it)?
The lens is slightly different, but the mounts and wiring are the same.
97-98 is convexly rounded (bubble toward the outside) while 99-01 is concave and angular, to match the trunk lid's lines.
You can swap them, but the 97-98 taillights will stick out compared to the trunk lid. Using the 99-01 lights on a 97-98 car will make it leak inside the trunk because the taillights angles don't match the trunk lid properly.
