I boot to a black screen with a blinking cursor, are my files still intact?
I had attempted to establish a dual boot using two partitions on the same hard drive. It didn't go to well and I eventually wound up with a black screen with a blinking cursor. The bios is still functional and boots up, it's just windows that can't boot. I got a second hard drive to be my main, so if I make the old hard drive the slave drive should I be able to recover my files off of it?
