How can I cover the holes left when replacing the lip spoiler on my 2006 Honda Civic LX?
I have a 2006 Civic LX and I removed the lip spoiler on the trunk to apply a spoiler from the SI Civics. Holes in the trunk are left from the removal. Looking for a cheap way to cover these holes without having to get too mechanical.
go to your local hardware store (Home Depot, Lowes, Ace, etc.) and get Hillman nylon hole plugs (or something equivalent) that fits the size of the hole and some 22 grit sand paper to smooth the plug out to help the paint adhere. When painting it, you can stick it in styrafoam so it wouldn't move around and just use the touch up paint to paint it.(use as many coats as you need waiting ~20 between each coat, about 6 is enough.) After that you can spray 3 coats of spray enamel for added durability and make sure you let it dry for at least a day before using them.
