Engine trouble need help? for car. 1994 mazda mx6?
mazda mx6 v6 engine rpms run about 350 after i start it. The engine is very quiet and if i don't start it for like 2-3 days it has trouble starting.
It should be have a hot engine idle around 750 RPM, so I would add a can of BG44k http://www.BGprod.com to the fuel tank to clean the carbon buildup in the engine. Also try Chevron's Techron http://www.chevron.com/products/prodserv/fuels/additives/concentrate_plus.shtml
Try turnning the key to on (not start) for 6 seconds or so and off for 10 seconds. Do that three times in a row and then finally try to start the car. If it starts better, you may have a fuel pressure problem developing.
