What would be the cost to replace a clutch on my Ford Focus?
I have a Ford Focus SE, and am being quoted approximately $1000 total parts/labor to replace it at the Ford dealership.
Is that about right, or am I being overcharged?
You are being overcharged a bit. But you should expect that when taking it to a dealership. It should be in the range of about $700+or-. If you are not sure where to take your car that is NOT a dealership, a good starting point is to go to the NPR Car Talk website to their mechanic files.
