It looks like the key is the ' srb payment- 2720', that would lead me to believe that he was already paid that portion of the bonus. I would go back through at least six months or more of his LES's to see if there were previous payments. One thing to remember is that the bonus will be taxed at the highest possible rate (it happens in the civilian world also) and he will get it back when he files his tax returns.
