Wow, I'm blown away by the majority of the responses I see so far. It is true that I don't really care if I ever become #1 top contributor. Frank the Tank has worked hard to be #1. I respect that. I was not aware that I was even in the top ten for a while after I made the top ten. I get a lot of flak from those that don't like my answers. But I also have many people that tell me that they appreciate my contributions. Lets face it, I'm, not always right. I make mistakes like everyone else. but I do know that i can help others and learn from them too. In the 2-1/2 years I've been here, it has been a good thing for me. I have made many friends. Although there are times when some of my friends and I don't agree, we still respect each others beliefs. Even more amazing is that several of the top contributors in this forum have different backgrounds, yet we still are very like minded. Lately, I have had a difficult time. A few weeks ago, I was sent to a specialist. A biopsy determined that I have prostate cancer. It was devastating to hear. At first I was freaked out. Now I know that the cancer was caught early on. I am scheduled to have it removed in early December. I'm told that the cancer is small and confined to the prostate. After removal there is a 100% chance that it is gone. I am blessed that it was found early. I urge every man over the age of 40 to get a years physical and be checked for prostate problems. My doctor and research has shown that 1 in 2 (1 in 3 in some statistics) men will have an enlarged prostate. My doctor says that all men will develop either an enlarged prostate, or prostate cancer, If they live long enough. Now that I've said that, I want to let you all know just how much your kind comments about my participation on Y/A means to me. It is just another example of the fact that there are a lot of good people here. Lets do what we can to learn from each other, and grow as martial artists, and friends.
