I want to get Sirius installed on my 2005 Mazda 6. Should I go factory or aftermarket?
I currently am using a Starmate, but I am sick of all the wires for the antenna and power. So I am thinking og getting a unit permentally installed now that my commute is a little further. What's better: a factor unit, or an aftermarket unit? benefits, negatives to each? approximate cost, etc.

Sirius is the ONLY way to go. What you need is a Kenwood or brand name unit Sat ready. Now you get a reciever box for it . One wire plugs in the back of the aftermarket unit and then antenna. This unit is NOT FM modulated, which means a better signal , sound and cleaner install. I have five of these units in cars and love it, every thing goes thru head unit and Kenwood has several units with Bluetooth Ipod Mp3 Wma and other options in one unit look a Kenwood KCD-x891.
